Paper Cornet/ Cookie Bouquet DIY tutorial!

What you will need:

One A4 paper (200g - 250g)

A pair of scissors or a paper cutter

A pair of curly scissors

A ruler

An eraser

Double sided tape

Raffia ribbon (any other ribbon type will do)

A small piece of florist foam

A small piece of tissue paper (papier mousseline)

Of course, some cookie pops !!!

Any other form of embellishment (tags, "peel-off" stickers, flowers, buttons, pompoms etc... )

Step 1: Fold your A4 paper as shown below and cut to remove the excess part. Cut at the fold line as well to obtain 2 triangles ! (refer 3 following images)

Step 2: Get your curly scissors. I purchased my collection on Ebay here..

Step 3: Draw 2 lines of 4mm and 10mm respectively on the two shortest sides of one triangle as shown below.

Step 4: Cut along that 2 lines (from step 3) using your curly scissors. (You may add a piece of decorative masking tape at the 10mm line side prior to cutting to ensure that special look of yours .. )

Step 5: Mark the center of the longest side of your triangle and place double sided tape as indicated below. Turn your triangle upside down then fold/roll without pressing too much (we do not want any lines/creases here) the 4mm cut side while ensuring that the cone formed starts at the center point and ends at the triangle highest point. Once you have the right cone shape at the right locations, remove the double sided tape protective film and press to make the shape stay in place.

Step 6: Repeat the same process (step 5) with the other side of your triangle. Fold without pressing too much (we do not want any lines/creases here) the 10mm cut side while ensuring that the cone formed again starts at the center point to ensure that there is no hole/empty space in your final paper cornet ! Once you have the right tight shape, remove the double sided tape protective film and press to make the shape stay in place.

Step 7: Cut a small triangular shape of florist foam as well as a piece of tissue paper (papier mousseline).

Step 8: Wrap the piece of florist foam in the piece of tissue paper. Then insert the wrapped florist foam in your paper cornet. You may use some double sided tape to ensure that it will stay firmly in place. After that just insert some cookie pops in your wrapped florist foam !

Decorative Suggestions !

Voila !...

Tips:

1. If you want a bigger cornet you can use A3 pages or other larger paper dimensions. The technique remains the same.

2. If you have edge paper punches, you may punch the top area of your cornet for that special touch of yours !

3. If you enjoy using Photoshop like I do, do not hesitate to customize your cornet for any special occasions ..

4. Using "Peel-Off" stickers in gold or silver really adds in a charming and elegant touch

5. Have fun decorating your bouquet !

Thank you for watching !
